Wash and peel pears to remove skin, leaving stems in tact.
Place pears in a large pot and add pomegranate juice. Bring to a boil. Drizzle pomegranate molasses over the pears and reduce heat to low. Simmer pears for an hour, rotating pears gently twice to get even color all around pear.
Test pears by inserting a fork in one to see if tender and soft. Doneness will depend on how ripe pears were initially, so some additional simmering may be needed.
Once done, remove pears from pot and place in individual serving bowls. Bring remaining liquid to a boil and reduce until thicker.
Pour some of the reserved juice over pears. Top each pear with fresh pomegranate seeds and toasted pistachios. Enjoy!
